Are you drowning in journals and notebooks? Me too! My husband gets aggravated at the pile of stuff I surround myself with every morning and then leave in stacks by my favorite spot.
I have my gratitude journal.
My daily diary....
and my planner.
Which brings me to the topic of today, and I hope you can help me.
January is well under way, and I am still searching for just the PERFECT daily planner for 2013. Do you have any suggestions for me?
In the past, I've gone from little ones like thisto bigger ones like this......
only it wasn't for first graders.
Using this one involved drawing my own calendar each month, which was time consuming and got messier and messier as the year went on. I did like all those pages for the lists I like to keep of the books I read, movies we watch or want to watch, new restaurants we visit or want to visit, etc.
I also had room in there for sermon notes for the year, and space to journal when we took a trip. It was kind of nice to have the whole year in one spot.
Excuse me a moment while I think.
Wait a minute. That sounds like a great idea! I can even make a cute cover for it like this...
and that button and elastic will keep the pages from falling out about October.
I think I found my new planner!
Thank you so much for helping me decide. You guys are great!
Notice how your planner got bigger. I like the one you picked. I also have little piles of this and that around....which scares me at times...if I start thinking HOARDER.Right now on my desk is my address book, home/lawn recordbook, health/dr/book,diary, journal, and a book I write things, my g.kids have said, in. Okay, if one day you should see me on that show, start throwing things away, safe yourself. :):):) xoxox, Susie
ReplyDeleteCute!!! I have planners and notebooks everywhere too:) I just printed one that I am loving but love the look of yours!!
ReplyDeleteLove your gratitude journal. I just started mine over this year, and your daily planner is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea!
ReplyDeleteI must admit my new years resolution is to use a planner! I bought a really cute one at Target hopefully will help me get excited to use it! We will see! I love your idea so cute and organized! My other resolution! LOL Traci
ReplyDeleteHere in the UK a planner is called a "diary" which is much different from what you all consider a diary :)
ReplyDeleteThis is very cute! It will give you the incentive to use it all year. I received a Mary Engelbreit planner for Christmas. It's been years since I've kept one since I just jot everything down on the calendar. Maybe I need a busier life! lol!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
we aim to please -grin-. keeping a calendar is such a personal thing; I keep a Susan Branch kitchen calendar (my daily dose of happy) and use AMEX desk journals and purse calendars. I also keep a Daytimer and just stick my purse calendar into it when necessary.
ReplyDeletelike you, I need to come up with my own perfect system.
Oh- I love your new journal. It looks perfect to me- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh your journal is so cute! I have been purchasing a 3 ring binder, then add different folders inside. A little big sometimes! Looks like lots of us do journaling!!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a gratitude journal. The journal you picked is absolutely adorable! Heather
ReplyDeleteI keep my gratitude/Joy Dare 'journals' in a folder on my desktop. That's one less thing to chase around. I too have a prayer journal and a planner notebook. But, I really like the composition book idea with a cute cover like that one. Let us know if you make a cover with the tutorial as in the photo. It's totally cute!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are the 3rd person in 2 days to bring up the subject of journaling
ReplyDeleteI used to do it all the time, but haven't in a while
I think this is a sign that I need to get back to it
Brett
