This is my scooter Starsky. We went for a ride the other day, probably the last one of the season unless it warms up a bit.
The countryside is transforming before our very eyes. The trees are beginning to turn and it looks like we will have a much prettier fall than we expected. Thank you Lord for the rain we have received since late August!
I went to visit my new neighbor and to see her new home. People-it is lovely inside and out, and Jim and Cindy have filled it with interesting family treasures. Don't you love it? Maybe I should ask if I can take pics of the inside and show it to you.
Would you like that?
To get there, I took the road that goes through a lovely wooded area.
Leaves were gently floating to the ground, but I couldn't capture that with my camera, or at least with my photography skills.
When you take the road less traveled, you often see unexpected and beautiful things, like this dilapidated fence.
Or this silo.
Or my favorite.........
.....this old blue truck. It looks like the farmer stopped for lunch and forgot to come back.
Ever.
Home sweet home.
It is amazing what I would have missed if I had gotten in my car and zoomed to my destination!
And that is why I like my scooter.
The end.
You need no help with your photography ;)
ReplyDeleteYes take pics inside and out. I would very much like that.
You are living my dream Susan; In the country where I feel closest to God. Which is why I continue to look as we get closer to empty nesters.
Thank you for sharing your scooter pics. My husband has one less drive to take me on!
Love.
I'd love to live where you do! All that wide open space and gorgeous farmhouses! Yes, get some pictures of your new neighbor's home! ;-D

ReplyDeleteYes, it is beautiful, and yes! of coarse we want to see the inside. Hurry, go back and ask??? You shouldn't have teased us with such a beautiful place, lol. Your area is just beautiful. There is nothing like living in the country, is there? I am following you back, can't wait to see more of your beautiful world.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes! Of course I want to see. What's better than getting a chance to admire other people's cool homes. What a fabulous countryside and how fun that you took the scooter and shared the sights along the way. It was a wonderful scenic drive so different from where I live. Love that.

My dad had an old blue truck like that, he used it to haul gravel and raw ore for his gold mill. I drove it some for him. Nice memories :)
