People say you shouldn't talk about religion or politics.
They say it isn't polite.
I don't necessarily agree with those people, whoever they are, but I'm not going to discuss my political leanings in this blogpost.
Not to say that I won't before Tuesday.
What I want to say tonight is, I can't wait for this election to be over.
I have been nervous for months about who is going to be our next President, but this week, my stomach is almost upset over it.
Everyday the polls seem to move in favor of first Romney, then Obama. No one can predict who the winner will be.
This is so important, and I can hardly stand it. The uncertainty is driving me crazy, and transforming me into a nervous Nelly.
I vowed this morning, that I would NOT listen to the news today. Instead, I would only listen to uplifting programs. But, it is like a train wreck, and I can't seem to stay away.
I just have to ask if anyone out there is feeling the same way. Reassure me, please. How are you dealing with the stress of this election?
Our house is so ready for the election to be over! We, too, are nervous over who will be the next president. I will say we are a conservative family...
ReplyDeleteI read your comment on my blog. I had no idea I was a no reply blogger. A reader told me. I'm still not quite sure what it means. I googled how to remove it from my blog. As far as Google +...I have no idea! I am clueless beyond belief! I really only know how to write and post my blog and read other blogs. I'm helpless and hopeless with technology!! ;-)
Oh, it is about to drive me NUTS...
ReplyDeleteit won't be long now, tho.
I don't mind talking about who I am for...I voted early for Mr. Romney and I have my fingers crossed so tight, I can barely type. :)
I linked to your party for Fri so I'll be back over in the morning. Not sure when you put the link up.

Susan- I am so sick of all this hoopla. I am so ready for it to be over and I hope we can move forward in a re-newed fashion. This country needs to be one that can be looked up to and admired once again- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI am beyond ready for this election to be over ... I'm sick and tired of politics, politicians, the whole electoral process. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Susan, Your thoughts and feelings are a mirror to my own. I am a Christian first, and a conservative second. My Christian family and friends are praying at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time for this election. God bless you for your genuine feelings here on your blog. Your friend in Christ. Emilou
ReplyDeleteI feel very anxious over it, too. I am ready for it to be over. I won't share my political views, other than to say I am a strong supporter of the rights of women.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Laura
We are praying for America during this time of presidential election.
ReplyDeleteSame here, cant wait until it's over. What gets me the most are the commercials. Being from Illinois we don't have a lot of political adds on TV/radio for the Presidential race, but there are plenty of other congressional and local office races that are advertising. I just get so disgusted with all the negative campaigning, finger pointing, and money wasted by these campaigns...
ReplyDeleteHow? By knowing without a doubt the sun will rise if the wrong guy is elected...His grace is sufficient!!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a hard one, but ultimately, I do not put my trust in a man. I believe that God can turn the heart of a man, and I am praying for clarity and asking for wisdom for God's appointed man. Every Tuesday I've been praying for the election during corporate prayer in the prayer room. It really helps to continually take this matter before God. It gets it off of my chest.
ReplyDeleteI am also concerned. As I painted all week I had the radio on. I wish I knew what has made the difference, but I'm not having anxiety right now. Thank you Lord!
ReplyDeleteI know that if we as a nation would humble ourselves and pray, God would heal our land. I think what your church is doing is wonderful (I wish mine would).
Sorry for all the "I's."
